
Clinical Neurophysiology is a medical speciality that studies the central and peripheral nervous system through the recording of bioelectrical activity, whether spontaneous or stimulated. Due to these abilities, the field of clinical Neurophysiology is used to aid the physicians in the diagnosis of various disorders and are not meant to treat any disorders.
Tests that are conducted are concerned with measuring the electrical functions of the brain, spinal cord and nerves. These tests are requested by a treating provider and commonly include a Polysomnogram (sleep study), CPAP titration, EEG or a Nerve conduction study.
